Going to look at Corsa C tonight for my girlfriend. Shes been to see it today cos its at a car dealer but I'm going to look at it tonight.

Its a 53 plate 1.2 16v SXi in black with 23,000 miles on the clock. I haven't seen it but apparently it has tinted windows Will it be a facelift model if its a 53 plate? I'm thinking its slightly high mileage too TBH and over priced £5750 as its an independent dealer, not a vauxhall one.

Did any of them come with tinted windows from the factory? Makes me think its been owned by some young lad if it has tinted windows and they aren't a factory option.

Anything in particular I should look or listen for?

Is the engine as easy to work on as my Corsa B 1.2 16v?

Thanks

average mileage is about 12000 a year so about right.
Check its been serviced.
Interval is 2 years or 20000 miles so maybe they've just not bothered.

And there was a tint option from factory.
But you should notice if its factory or aftermarket straight away.

Matty Gizzle

I'm not too clued up on Corsa C's but I know some of them did come with slightly tinted windows as either an option extra or on the more newer version's..

I would have a look on AT or checkout the vauxhall website.. As im sure you could get cheaper and better miles for that price range.

just looked and I think its over priced cos the ones on there seem to have lower mileage and better price.

she wont like it when I try to talk her out of it cos I can tell she has set her heart on it now but its silly spending more money than she needs too

I have her Dad backing me up cos I dont think he thinks its a good buy either.

The other thing that worried me when she text me before was that she said it sounded nice. Makes me think its not standard cos I know my car didn't sound nice before I put the Magnex exhaust on

there have been lots of issues with corsa c, i love mine, but the amount of problems and common problems which i have known bout or experienced are

*worn gear linkages
*timing chains need replacement due to loud rattling noises
*steering racks wear quickly
*steering columns fail ending with failure of PAS and dodgey steering movements
*heater blower resistors going
*random electrics failing
*squeeky clutch pedals

Sounds the same as my car but it is the same engine more or less.

Also should help that my girlfriend never gives her car stick so hopefully reduce the amount of problems.

I know theres no way that it can be as unreliable as her Saxo is. It would be nigh on impossible

right thanks. I will bear this in mind.

I'm going to tell the dealer he is overpriced by £500 (which he is) cos if the price as more like £5300 its about right. if he doesn't like that he can get stuffed
