Did the TD take that without modification? What's it like to run on? Where do you buy it?

Yup runs 100% ya would never know, if ya got a lucus pump its dodgey but you can run 100% sunflower oil with botch pump, but as its cold 60/40 will be fine.
The lucus pump is not self lubricating so run too much sunflower oil and the diesel wont lubricate it so it will die eventually.
Get my sun flower oil from TESCO cheapest around haha
Dont work on HDI 306

does the 47p/litre vegetable oil make the car noticeably slower? Aparantely its only 97% as powerful as diesel

also why do you say it doesn't work on HDi engines?

At ambient temperatures vegetable oil is more viscous than mineral diesel fuel. Thus, the injection pump must work harder to draw the oil from the fuel tank. The vegetable oil also has a higher flash point (the temperature at which it ignites). If it is used in a cold engine, the engine is difficult to start and liable to suffer from coking up. The extra load placed on the pump from sucking the more viscous oil can cause it to fail.

precisely

however certain (namely older) cars run fine on pure veggie oil (SVO) and many modern engines run fine on a 50/50 misture

all i wanted to know is why isnt this the case with HDi blocks
