the problem these days are they are all greedy Internet Companies.
They keep signing people up, advertising more and more even when they dont have the bandwith capacity. Then everyone suffers.
Not only that, but 99% of it comprises from shit outdated BT hardware

Me too, I can count on 1 hand the amount of hours in downtime I've had over the past 5 years or so. It's on most of the time as well. The only issue I have with them is their price. Hopefully they will reduce it again or increase the 2mb one soon.

Most, maybe, but not all......you'll find the ones who tend to try to drag in as many new customers as possible are the ones with shareholders to please. The ISPs that are still set up as Ltd companies don't have shareholders to please, and are free to run how they like...
The company I work for's working principle: Use the best equipment, no matter what the cost, and then ensure that redundant kit is available to replace that equipment in the event of a failure.
Winning the PCPro Best Broadband ISP two years in a row can't hurt, and we're in the running for 4 awards in the ISPAs (the ISP equivalent of the Oscars) this year...

This is only because he gets it free / cheap ....
But I do have to admit I am with Zen and I have not had any problems with them, latency is next to nothing.
Bart, Force9 if you have any technical problems are as thick as pig shit. I called them one day reporting that we had sync'd upto the DSLAM at the exchange but we had PPP authentication issues. They continued to tell me that this is impossible as you can't have ADSL sync without PPP auth. I then taught them the wonders of the TCP/IP and OSI model.
In conclusion .... IDIOTS!!
