Unless you really mod the current car, you will find it cheaper and better to do what I did.
I had a 93 1.2 8v which I did a few little things to, but then in December decided I wanted quicker, so bought a 98 1.6 Sport.
A lot faster, and has cost me around £700 to change, but for that I get a newer rust free body, electric windows and mirrors, a sunroof, colour coded bumpers, GSi spoiler, basically almost top of the range.
Think about it carefully mate.

Well on my old car, I had SXi alloys, pioneer headunit, 6x9's, sub, and lexus lights.
I transferred the headunit over (DEH-MP7700), sub, alloys, then fitted new front speakers and amped them on my new car.
The lights were taken off the old car and have been kept to put up on ebay soon, so all has been transferred, just takes a bit of time thats all! Although not as much as an engine swap!

U sure its an 1.2 8v?
I thought they changed at that age, and you have old style bumpers, with the built in grille. Doesn't sound like a 98 car to me mate.

if you really love the current car change the engine
find out if it has a chip and ring immob if it has, i guess it will, then a x16xe will go in,
get engine gearbox and driveshafts, loom, ecu, the immob chip for the key and the ring.
the whole lot will cost about £200 to £400 depending where you get it from
then fit it, if you dont want to fit it yourself there are a few ppl on here who can do it for a price
ppl i know of are
lee m
beardy
me
j100 ? dunno if he still does it
and probably a few more now aswell
the price of fitting varies on who is doing it and exactly what you want doing and if any extra parts are needed, ball joint's track rod ends, oil, filters, coolent etc
