yup still pretty clean, just needing a few bits touched up and front bumpers pretty stone chipped now.. bit quicker than the rallye! lol

My mate bought it with the head away... Stripped it rebuilt head with new valves etc.. Then I bought it off him.. Exhausts not sure but quite like the standard system tbh.

This was my mates 3rd GTi and he actually thought it felt pretty slow, but its in need of a service an that a think.

well when i put the catalyst back on it it killed all the power.went well with a de cat and spat a fair few flames

didni say theres anything wrong with it

but

it would rev easier at high revs with s/s system as it has less baffles etc

baffles? ive notced when the car reaches 5k now and the 'power band' kicks in it makes a vibrating/rattling noise

Aye a realise that it wont be as gd as it could be but moneys past the skint point just now. lol.

Butler its hard to compare, defo quicker but revs differently an that.. More low down the revs than the rallye..

My Blue Gti was only ever running standard exhaust with de-cat and seemed to be quick and responsive enough. Also loud enough but i had stripped interior

youd know if it was chipped you would have seen the chip ontop of the ecu housing

Not true about the chip mate.. That one above is a piggy back chip but some are mounted inside original case as far as i know.
