The words "good" and "cheap" very very rarely go hand-in-hand, when it comes to a broadband connection...

NOT Tiscali! They are the most shite ISP I've been with by far - 2mb unlimited is more like 512 at best with a restriction of 5gb or they cut ur bandwidth further

check out their forums first..

since upgrading their speeds, they've not upgraded their capabilities and a huge massive amount of customers are suffering with cut offs, time outs etc.

i think alot of it obviously is to do with how many people your sharing with in your road etc etc... but i have to say AOL/BT are by far the most over rated.

I cant think of one good thing about the AOL software?

My parents, sister and GF are all on AOL and they have all had problems.

This ranges from having long periods of not being able to connect, sudden disconnection, really really slow speeds, etc. None of these are down to the computer, AOL are fuck all help when you get in touch and just try to make you download SP2 for windows and clear the cache.

Ive been on UK online for just over year. Started off with 2mb, then 8mb and just about to upgrade to 24mb when I can be arsed to order it. Never had any problems with them if I needed customer support (to upgrade), never been cut off while Ive been online and never not been able to get it connected.
