Have a problem with a 1 litre corsa c10xe It idles at 1000 rpm on initial startup this then rises to approx 1600rpm
after a minute and it stays there
Also when starting it reluctantly starts and needs some revs to stop it
stalling. I have checked battery and earth , aslo
changed starter motor
Could this just be one sensor causing all these problems ? There is no EML
fault at all

could be the idle control valve take it off and clean it thats the first thing i would try

Its not the ICV that appears to be working fine , can see the valve moving in and out fine , but the throttle doesnt even rest against the grub screw on the valve once its started the high idle

if it was any other sensor your light should come on if your light works???????
try cleaning throttle housing out aswell

Light is working - disconnected Maff to see if made any difference and EML came on . Will try giving ICV and throttle housing a clean with carb cleaner
