Few legal question i would like to know about these please:
1) Can you take out the spacing in them, as shown in picture:
before:
S13 EXY
after:
S13EXY
BTW this isnt the number plate i want
2) Can you put a black bolt somewhere to give the look that its a different character?
Cheers

Coppers might use their discression & let you off with say a slight differance on spacing but legally you cannot alter it at all

The legal requirement is that the space between the numbers and the letters must be double that of the standard space between numbers
But sayin that i have had my private plate just spaced illegally and never been pulled, but i dont have different front or any real modification of letters or numbers to try and make them look differents

You cant do it legally, but is only a £30 fine and aslong as its not too stupidly spaced you'll get away with it.
My mum has have X1X PS (should be X1 XPS) on her car for 3 yrs with no problems
And got my girlfriend S16PH M (S16 PHM) in Feb and put a yellow bolt on the 6 to look like an E...not problems soooo far!

i dont know what to do, as i have found one, which needs the spacing gone, and a bolt to look like how i want it.
should i just go for it and once i get stopped and fined, then change it??

If your going to do it get a plate where u can just space it illegally
I have
B2AD F
and thats how it is on my car.
I have police follow me before, i think as you can see what the letters are they dont really mind.
The reason they get the arse with bolts etc is because you are changing the letters so cameras cant read it or if police were to view your plate quickly it doesnt read right
I think also with mine Brad F is easier to remember than B2 ADF if you get me

yeh that was my thought aswell, mine dosnt try to change the numbers or letters in anyway. I must admit i thought i may have got pulled when it was on the corsa but on a standard car they really dont look twice

I've been thinking of having another plate made up for mine
Not change the font at all, just the spacing

I got told by the police one time when I was stopped 1 reason that made me want to get a different one
What if your car got stolen and u called the police told them your reg but it looked different on the car as you had put a bolt on or altered a letter to make it look like something else the police if they saw your car wouldnt think it was yours as wouldnt be the reg u gave them
Dunno if that makes alot of sence though the way im wording it
