which would be best.....
just wondering how both the above engine's would compare to each other? they would both be about the same power and cost about the same to put together, but which would you perfer and why?
and also how hard it would be to put T/B on a 1.6 16v sport? 1999/2000 model's

if cost is the issue, redtop would be better although spending money on the 1.6 would be better in the sense of power and handling

i was thinking it would handle better and foe what it would cost to buy a a 2.0 then the fitting kit etc.. it would probably work out cheaper to put T/B on the 1.6 16v

Tb's would cost more than an 2.0. I would much prefer the 1.6 on tb's though. Or even better get a redtop and then put tb's on in future. Thats my plan anyway lol.

have you ever priced up a tb kit for the x16xe? remember you have management, remapping, cams etc
a redtop could be bought and fitted for about a grand (without a rebuild that is)

I am looking for throttle bodies also. Where is the best place to look at getting them from? sbd? Although these are quite expensive. What about the QED ones are the any good?

SBD one's seem to be the best one about, i think a 2.0 on T/B will be too heavy on the front

try novatech: www.nt-r.co.uk
thats what i have and in my opinion are much better build quality than sbd's. cheaper too.
the other thing about this argument is that most people that post a comment have never seen, let alone drive a 1.6 on tb's. ive had the pleasure of both and i wouldn't ever have a 2.0 corsa over a tb'd 1.6.
