Neeed more space in engine bay and have done a search and not found an answer to my question. If i move my battery to the boot and extend the necessary wires do i need to fuse them to prevent any electrical fires that could occur through over heating between engine bay and boot? Also if i do what size fuse would i use to prevent slowing down the charge?

Just out of interest aswell if i put a second battery to this one i plan to put in the boot do the normal rules of split charging apply? Obviously the relay is still needed to prevent it going flat but would 2 fuses be neccesary?

any help appreciated
