hey...
i have a big favour to ask... does anyone have an autoroute thingy on their computer that they could type 2 postcodes into so that i could get directions for a journey i have to do tomorrow.
the trip is from LA4 6PD to EH6 7AD
any help would be much appreciated

thanks people ... went with the rac route planner in the end ... the aa one wasn't much cop either, it missed a chunk of directions off about actually getting off the edinburgh bypass into the centre so i'm not trusting that

just follow the sign posts to Leith...
Get onto the A1 at somepoint and just follow it... it takes you right into EH6

Get onto A1.... follow signs for Edinburgh....
Follow signs for Leith...
Get the junction by a Key-Line Depot, and RBS.... take a left... that is Constitution Street

i made some maps... basically just follow the roads straight at all junctions from the A1 till you get the junction to turn onto Constitution street
follow the red arrows...

thanks alot adam .. all the auto routes had me heading down princes street which i know will be a ball ache in the traffic .. i'll go the way your maps show me

well you can get down the start of it till you hit the bus lane can you not?! .. then you have to go up past all those squares and along to leith

but if your coming from the west i'd go round the by pass and onto the A1 north rather through the city centre

yep that's the new plan ... thanks for the help. it was only last tuesday that i was up at murrayfield seeing some mates.
anyhow i'll head towards the a1 from the m74 and then use your maps
