Kinda having a few issues with this new phone, i put in all my contacts yet when they call me they are all coming up unknown numbers and when i call them they come up unknown. What am i doing wrong

im thinking it might be down to the network not being set up yet, as it says :
Sending failed - Message barred. We can ring out tho. Tis odd.

Turn your phone off for 10 mins & remove battery
They don't tend to register when switched on
