my car failed on the emissions on its mot early this week, ive got it fixed but my mot had run out now and need to use the car to get to work tomoz untill i have my re-test on tuesday,
is it points or a fine if you get caught?

dont you always have 12 days after it fails in which to get it sorted, THEN its illigal to drive.??.

wouldnt worry. book it in for a re-test asap. just keep you mot failiure on you. if you get pulled tell them the situation, and they should be cool with it. they will be more interested in catching people that dont even bother trying to get an mot.

yeah man i drove mine , got pulled and explained to them that i have a retest! and if i dont drive it from the garage to my place to get it fixed etc how can it pass seemed 2 work, but im good at blagging?

its booked in for a retest on tuesday, so iam only going to be driving to work and back, about a 10 mile round trip

normally u can only drive ya car wit no mot to or from the testin station. ur not even supposed to drive it to get it fixed.

having no mot voids you insurance doesn't it? so you could potentially be done with no insurance and no mot.

No, if your car fails it's MOT, the only time you can drive the car on the road is to your house, a pre booked session at a mechanic to rectify the problem or a pre booked MOT.
