ive been looking around for a decent exhaust system for my 1.4 exclusiv.

i fancy a magnex full system but its a cat back system. is there much difference between a decat and cat back?? performance wise.

im more interested in acceleration than top speed.

any advice would be appreciated

cheers guys

An exhaust won't do shit to increas performance, especially on an n/a car... They just look nice and sound loud.

Get a cat back system as if you remove the catalytic converter your car wont pass it's MOT.

Don't know if the same applies on corsas, however on 106s its proven on rallies a de-cat group n system adds 5bhp to a standard rallye teamed with a panel filter.

Get it remapped after youve done everything else first as the ecu will be remapped to compliment every other mod you have made to the engine and once you change anything else it will need to be mapped again for optimum perfomance. I think you will see a good few horsies there though. However id probably say if you want power your better off with a bigger engine first. otherwise id generally consider it a waste of money.
