Hi guys, i've looked through loads of posts on here to try and get some help, but couldnt find anything that was direct to me. So i thought id ask.
I've got 15" alloys, et 40 with 185/55's on. I want to drop it 50 - 60 mm and from what i have gathered it probably wont happen with out a new set of alloys. But just for confirmation what would be the lowest recommended drop for these alloys, with and with out some arch work.
I have been looking at some new alloys but im not earning that much (still at college) so i only wanted to buy some if it was really necessary.
cheers for your help

I have 15 inch alloys they're 7 inch wide and ET38. Car is lowered on 60mm springs. They fit my arches perfectly, no rubbing at all. Don't know if its just lucky or not, or maybe a wide tolerance factor in vaux factory, when building arches (corsa ones)
The only thing i have against the wheels is that the handling is quite poor with these wrong offset wheels.

im lowered et35 on 40mm springs - cos its wider it looks ok and low but i dont think 60mm wud work at the back without removing the bolts/arches

Lowered 40 mm on et35? Mine is not lowered at all and rubs if I find a bump. I think I need to sort out my arches and get some springs.
EDIT: w8 a sec .. you're on 15s as well? Mine is on 16s
