i made a post earlier on today about some 15's on et40 lowering. I've been looking at some other alloys. Seen some nice 16's et 45 i want to lower the car 50 - 60 mm any chance of this happening.
cheers, sorry to be annoying

ok thanks. Can anyone second that? i just wanna make sure. I guess its better to buy some more alloys with the correct offset that to try and make alloys with the wrong offset fit?

well, i think anything above et40 should be fine....
got halfords to change my et35 (tsw freeze) today to et42 (tsw pace) and will soon lower the car 50mm...
Haha I used the freeze alloys for free for 1.5 months....They apologised abt the wrong advice and I setteled on the et42 because there was nothing in et45 15s....
Hope its all fine.....

Lol, that was a good out come then.
I've been reading up more and 16's lowered to 40 look alrite, and they dont cause any problems, so i think the 16's on et45 up to 50mm are ok with little if no arch mods. if any one could definately confirm this it will set my mind at rest. they look better than 15's too. I think my current 15s on et40 will cause problems lowering 50-60mm from what i have gathered. so i think it might be a set of 16's!

they are actual;ly 6.5 inch rather than 7 inch. I take it this means they sit further into the arch?

I have 16" ET45 and lowered -50mm no rubbing what so ever and have not had to trim or de-bolt the arches.
Going down to -60mm at weekend may de-bolt just to be on the safe side.
