hi i just got this phone the other day and when i try to get it connected to the pc to transfer files the pc doesnt even register that it is connected any ideas why this would be?

Cause Sony phone software is total shite. Try reinstalling the lot. Its a pile of shit, I dont even bother now. Use bluetooth dongle instead.

i just use the date cable and no software, like a usb pen drive.

everytime i tried connecting mine via the usb cable it wiped all my pics and vids off the phones memory card, just use a bluetooth dongle now instead

download the software from sony's site. its better than the original (apparently)
Or use a dongle or if u want to do it even faster buy a memorystick card reader (USB) from:
