This should be in HZ.
Your seat belts DO NOT work perfectly if the pre-tensioner has gone off. IF you crash you will probably slip out of the seatbelt and smash your face into the steering wheel. If the tab is showing it means you need new pre-tensioners. Therefore when the MOT tester tests the seatbelts functionality your car will fail...
Get it sorted cos it could be dangerous...

I'm quite sure there's nothing means they should fail an MOT. They're obviously not as safe as Vauxhall intended, and may behave differently in a crash - but as to whether they are a fail - I don't know.
I'll leave in this forum as its of general use to people and not peculiar to one car.

thats not the tensioner, the tensioner is the bit which pulls the seat belt clip down when you crash, not the bit which locks the belt when you jerk forward

The tensioner increases load on the belt - this WON'T work.

surely they can fail it for decreased seatbelt function or something?
the seatbelts arent doing what they were intended to do, so its not fully safe

the belts function is not affected when the pre tensioners have gone off.
they simply tighten the belt to hold you in your seat in the event of a crash

i understand what you mean because that metal cable pulls tight and just gives it that little bit of extra tension when you do crash

here is what is written in the MOT inspection manual about them
"some seatbelts are fited with pretensioners.
once activated a 'flag' or similar shows on the seat belt stalk.
in itself a seat belt that has had the pre tansioner activated is NOT a reason for rejection.
the vehicle presenter should be advised.

someone had cut the tag off with a stanley knife on my old calibra
but it does alot in a crash and for the sake of a few quid change it anyway
could save your life or your front seat passengers
but its like when the b pillars crack is it a mot faliure or not as its within the distance of the seat belt anchor point
but its only a outter skin???????
