you after a 20SEH engine then shane?
might be an idea to register on www.mk2cav.com and find the differences between the 20SEH and the 20NE, might be something as simple as the cam, in which case you could buy a NE and convert it to SEH with your newfound knowledge

yup im def after a 130 bhp seh, i nearly had a brand new NE today but the guy is refusing my payment saying it never reached the 'reserve' but there wasnt one on the listing. not happy! i cant see a diff between NE and SEH apart from the ex/in manifolds rob so maybe it could be done

H= 1991
Cav mk2 Sri - 20NE - 113bhp - 1987
cav mk2 sri 130 - 20SEH - 128bhp - 1987
cav mk3 sri- 20SEH - 128bhp - 1988
cav mk3 sri - C20NE - 113bhp - 1991
figures from glasses quide
might be wrong, but liklihood is that its a C20NE car, not a 20SEH

i reckon it is, the engines must be similar, vauxhall wouldnt have changed it too much, the re-engineering of the car would have cost too much

like you've said before though, 8v engines are easier to fix, less to go wrong, cheaper to replace/repair, and bulletproof
and i wouldnt want to rip that apart either

gte 8v was a 20SE, not a 20SEH, so it only had 122bhp, not 128
why is everything so complicated?

good solid engines, cheap to buy etc, nice and torquey
should be good with a few mods
exhaust, filter, cam, headwork and carbs should see good gains
and it will not break
so yes

nova sport engine is a 13N, found in the SR, mk2 astra 1.3, and cav 1.3
not really rare, theres shitloads about
the rare bit is the Irmscher injection
