I work in IT and I just cant figure this out.

Set a wireless broadband modem up for a friend on AOL, eventually got it working and connected.

When used to be connected via the modem could access www.secpay.com (click the login button and login)

Now connected via router it loads the page, (takes forever to log the login button, then wont let you login)

Ive checked all the IE settings and AOL, as far as I can figure out, problem is, I connected the modem back up tonight and it worked 1st time, then connected the router up and tried, it did same thing!!

Im confuzzeled, can anyone help??

wireless routers are a bit stricter due to being so attackeable, maybe this is the problem ?

ahhh.. i see your problem straight away... its AOL

well, on a serious note, i dont think its the broadband router. but one thing you could try is turning off any firewall software.

Are all the DNS servers setup correctly on the router?

to rule out the router can you not just check the logs to see if its logging anything?

Could the website be doing something weird that uses some ports that are blocked on your router?

yes - maybe the login uses HTTPS (Port 443 by default) and the router could be blocking it?

MTU or Maximum Transmission Unit as its known is a big player in ADSL connectivity.
