Depends if it was a standard turbo or not?
With a remap and a few mods it could have big power

On the motorway the Police seem to drive Range Rovers now Odd choice.
However, you may be able to beat the car, but you would have difficulty keeping the speed up long enough to beat the helecopter.

Ever driven one?
It would spank any police persuit vehicle, other than that lotus elise and or evo they had.
The power to weight ratio on a std one is 200bhp per tonne if not more.
Police cars are just diesel astra's and focus's. Even the mway beamers are TD's that ive seen.
But as Ed said, outrunning police car would be easy, but outrunning a helicopter impossible
Oh and WTF is with going round a track? Why the hell would an astra diesel on std suspension out handle a corsa
Thats the most bizzare statement ive heard today! Plus why would a police car be on a race track

chopper coppers can do about 130MPH (ground speed) - iirc off that cop chase program
A poshe has out run one, but it decided to turn off at the next junction avalible and the chopper caught up.

But you forget that a chopper doesnt have to slow for bends or roundabouts or well anything really.

some motorway patrol ones are m3's so in that case no, theyd also have a hard job outrunning a t5 on the motorway

Nope, they pull people over too... There is also the tell tale sign on them saying 'Police'.
