Have always wanted one of these.

Was going to say the same about the weels. Shame he didn't leave the factory rims on it. They are nice and subtle though.

Remember being amused by the little cow hide symbol on the back of these when they were new.

There were a couple local to me that I used to see regularly that I was very fond of, and happy to say kept mint.

Still looks modern 15 years later, and would still have one Jambo.

edit: never realised until now they were called the 'Champion'. Always thought they were just the last of the GTEs with full leather and some improvements.

Would I be correct in thinking they only ever came in the metalic burgundy, a darkish grey and black or possibly pearl black?

Now that's strange, and i'm a little worried i'm going mad now, as i'm sure I remember seeing grey ones and black ones with the little leather symbol and lattice pattern rims.

champion was ONLY sold in this country, also known as the "london edition" as it was only sold in london vauxhall dealers, where the decals etc were applied, and a little leather champion badge was added, which is why some cars dont have the decals

ONLY red, ONLY in england

End of.

vauxhall allocated 250 cars to london vauxhall dealers who may or may not have sent them to other francises, but the cars were originally from London

anyway, thats nothing to do with it, they are ONLY red, no other colours
