How much work is involved in getting them smooth enough to be sprayed?

i have some door handles that are already painted, no locks though
although fitted to my car i have a lock on the drivers side, and no lock on passenger side, and i found them in a scrapyard already black not that it helps

not too much time needed to be spent getting ready for paint just some fiddly little curves etc!

Well i'l get them next time I'm up SBS etc boot lock is quite smooth anyways as i had it sprayed red!

Door handles have lock holes and are in black plastic!

Want them asap as need them spraying and fitting before PVS. Would like its 1st outing to be CWC15 but not sure if thats too ambitious

loo_goblin has a set of rub strips knocking about iirc, OR Vaux do them for about £25
