What difference is there between a normal exhaust Cat and a sports Cat?
in terms of performance/torque/emissions?
Thanks

Emissions stay within the accepted range. I'm sure that they just flow easier giving an advantage in power over a standard one.
I'm sure this is correct.

got an LMF one, stainless steel, 600 cell per inch less than standard so the flow is much better but i would say unless youv got some other big mods then you wont really notice.
I got mine because of my Mantzel and i think it would give slightly more torque than top end speed.

i take it by 'straight through' you mean you have no silencers on it? or is it de-catted aswell?

wot car do you have? wot year?
it shouldnt really be very loud as youv still got the two silencers on it. losing the cat wont make it that much louder.
A straight through is what i had on my nova, it was '91 so didnt need a cat and had no silencers to start with but was too loud so got a middle box put on it.
