I've got a Corsa B model and this will sound absolutely barmy, but izit possible to re-fabric the car seats. I dont mind the seats already in there but I dont like the fabric on the seats and was wondering if they could be changed? Is it possible to do or will I need to buy new seats?
Here's a pic of the car seats I have in ma car. want 2 get rid of the stripy spots on it.
thanx

yes it's possible.
A few people have done it themselves (with help from mum ), or you could pay a company to retrim it all for you.

Lots of people have done it. A lot of people sand it over and smooth it totally too.
Personally I think it look tacky and shit all totally sprayed up.
You could also cover it in fabric/leather.
I'm guessing you have the stomach-wrenching grey dash

I think people get the bodyshop to smooth, spray and laquer it for them.
Would be a cunt trying to do it with halfords spray cans. Also it'd chip easily if not done properly.

You can buy fabric direct from Cobra.
Personally i'd buy some Cobra bucket seats, then buy some of the material from cobra to do my door cards and rear seats if you're keeping them.

Surely you can just use fabric that you would find at a fabric shop
If it's good enough to make curtains and re-fabric sofas i'm sure it wouldn't be out of place in your car.

Sounds silly me asking that m8. Just that I thought perhpas sandpaper wasnt a good thing to use as I thought perhaps it would scratch up and roughen the dashboard parts instead of smoothing them out. (thought the dashboard bein plastic would be 2 weak 4 sandpaper treatment. I had somethen like wood or metal in mind which would be more suited 4 sandpaper). But u sure it'll do the trick?

Sand all the "orange peel" effect of using rough sand paper (will take ages).
Then use plastic filler primer, sand it with a medium grade paper, then use normal grey primer, sand using a finer paper - and then spray as you would spray anything else, lightly sanding between coats. Will take ages, and look gash if you do big areas in a bright colour.

Cheers buddy, appreciate it, just 1 other question. On some dashboard parts if they are straight, can you get away with using a sander. Im thinking it certainly aint practical at all but will save time. Is this a gud idea?
Also any1 here who has trimmed the seats themselves, what's to procedure for doing them?
thanx
