I'm at work and came on for 5 mins.

I just had to move 7 threads off page 1 of GC.

Please think about where you are posting.

If it's nothing to do with cars, off day please.

If you are asking for help on a specific item/car/problem, help zone.

Make our life easier please...We are not here just to clean up after you..

Thanks for you co-operation

some topics fall under both, and I usually plump for the one that will get viewed most - GC

thats not what its here for though. this is the problem. posts which are asking for help/advise should be in help zone. posts which are not, but are car related should be in GC. end of, no exceptions

On some cases there is a fineline GC or HZ.

If it is help on a specific item/car/part etc etc THEN IT GOES in HELP..As Rob said NO exceptions..END OF..it's not rocket science..

If it's a general enquiry say what colour should I paint my car, this is fine for GC even though it's a help post but it has a broad base for replies...

Some of the problem is deliberate - this we can stop.

People genuinely not knowing where stuff goes is legitimate but I don't feel its so hard to get your head around.

Problems with YOUR car - HZ

Chat about cars in general - GC

Other stuff - OD or appropriate subs (Geek/Snap)

I completely agree with mav. Its not hard, put some thought in to it, laziness or selfishness doesn't actually get the thread more views because it will get moved anyway, just gives someone the job of doing so.

maybe the name of General Chat should be changed to General Car Chat, because if you do not go to the main forums page and just use the quickmenu to get General Chat there is nothing to tell you that it is General Car Chat,

General Chat comes across as General Chat and I wouldnt have thought it was car chat unless I was to go to the main forums page.

Offday on the main page doesnt say anything about general chit chat not relating to cars does it? Most people will think its just to do with cars eg: when you have a probelm with it.

Description needs changing IMO.

And this thread should be in off day if im correct!

I don't agree that its down entirely to the forum descriptions. Anyone who has been here more than five minutes will have a feel of what is going on.

Its not difficult, and I do think that some people are lazy/selfish about it, and its this which I have a problem with.

the websites called corsasport, id say it was fairly obvious what general chat was for.

A lot of new people mistake off day for GC because they think it's for general chat. Though, they are idiots for doing so as the forum description tells you otherwise.
