Went to York Dragway yesterday. Mint day, got a 4.82 0-60 and a 13.36 1/4 mile (might of done better but they didn't have all the timing slips as there computer is operated by a hamster.) Not bad for York. Might slip a decent time down pod now.

Anyway went down Notts last night, was on a duel carrageway, wound it on in second a bit, went to go past a new Fiesta ST, put it in third and BANG. Instantly the car locks up, I could of gone anywhere. To my right a rather hard looking central reservation, to my left a car

Thank fuck (and god knows how when you look at the wheel) it just went straight, then I ushered it over to the side of the road. It'd of been a major accident if it hit anything. Car would of been properly fucked, as would I probably.

Cops were straight on my case, I was abit ofa cunt ot him at firsdt, then when I calmed down he was sound. He really apreciated the car for what it was, and he is a fellow 'Ringer lol. Talked about the place and general shit Also about how lucky I was!

Anyway car is stilla bit fucked, but it will repair, and more importantly me and my mate are ok The car will be back to race another day

Heres the pics....

I'm edging closer towards that elusive 12 second run.

Chris_S said he could never do better than a 12.9 at York and he did a 12.3 at pod, so maybe I could sneek a 12 if I'm lucky?

Wanted to go to Shakespeare County Raceway today too

TBH I'm glad I'm alive, I couldn't give a monkeys about the car at the moment!

The pictures don't really show the damage to the car, only the wheel. The wing is bent to fuck, ragged shaft out ofthe box, and we had to show the car no mercy to get it on and off the wagon.

I dunno what the damage is! Ragged the shaft out of the box. Recovery wagon was covered in box oil. Its at the team garage, I don't know exact damage yet.

Building a 4x4 astra for a kid I think, and a few other jobs

Looks like the breakdown company sent you the wrong type of pickup truck. Same thing happened to me, but I said no way to dragging car onto a flatbed, they sent out a different type which holds onto the front wheels only.

I now only have the one in the car! Sold the rest!

You mean a dolly? I was so tired, and the car was damaged anyway I didn't really care! Ionly think he pulled the shaft out of the box. The bumper is very flexable and it looks ok.

Gutted, would of loved a rip round J27! Mind the accident could of been worse if it happened there

On the plus side somebody that went to York just told me I did a 4.73 0-60. Even better

I don;t even know how I didn;t hit anything, somehting was smiling on me!
