whats the safest way to buy wheels from someone on a forum?
i.e. , if worst happens, which payment used would i have most comeback?
i was going to pay by cheque.
or is paypal better?
or amn i screwed either way if i get bumped?

Get loads of pics of the wheels 1st, see them in flesh if you can...

pay thru paypal but pay with a credit card i used my credit card thru paypal a while back and it covered me for a botch job sale
paypal would not refund me so i reported paypal to my credit card issuer and my card issuer took them on as if they were comitting fraud and i got all my money back thru credit card protection

do they not just cover you if buying from a company though???still cover if it's a private sale..?? i don't think so...

yeah they did with me i bought an engine off corsa808 aka dave a it went tits up so i tried paypal for refund but they came up with some cock n bull so i reported them to my CC issuer

use your credit card in paypal (though paypal doesnt always look into the claim rightly)..if anything goes wrong, you can do a charge back (if you can)
but best is cash on collection/receipt if possible and a friend as witness...As always, check item before paying

Ive recently been screwed over £255 on paypal. And now im told paypal will NOT cover me as i didnt have a tracking number for the item (It was collected) so if your gonna use paypal...make sure u post it recorded..and keep the tracking number safe
