Assuming it's a router, which firmware are you currently running?

I upgraded to 3.01.25 last night, and port-forwarding broke (confirmed on their website as a bug), so upgraded again to the beta 3.01.29 firmware, but that broke MSN/ICQ connectivity, so ended up rolling back to 2.10.22, which fixed everything again...

Good old Netgear!

It's just a standard "upgrade" option in the router's web-portal......you're changing the existing firmware version to a different one, it doesn't check to see if you're changing to a newer or older version, so you can go either way...

sounds like an issue with the router - though do the other systems suffer from this problem? And if you connect your system straight to the net connection do you have any problems?
