about 5 years ago when i bought my corsa GSi i was browsing courtenays website and creamign in my pants about having a 1.6 turbo conversion but they are a crock of shoot

my mate has a turbo'd nova gsi, needless to say it was quick as fcuk! however, a few months later he put it up for sale at half the price he bought it for so im guessing reliabilty is a bit of an issue

I knew a kid with a Nove done at courtney. It never ran right. Cooling issues, gaskets issues.
For the money I'd do a 1.6 on TB's. Can get to 200bhp (look at broster). The turbo was 180bhp, and not as reliable

i agree with timrud. id either TB ur 1.6 or if ur really after a turbo, go for a 2.0ltr turbo as it seems to be more reliable, not sure on cost difference tho?

did he have an intercooler and oilcooler?
what sort of gasket was he using?

I did as well.
Guy on migweb will sell you a turbo kit and low comp pistons. Then you need management, steel rods, oil cooler and a intercooler. O and while your at it a all metal inlet of some description.

yeah its the m-vaux kits that the boy on migweb supplies.
thats what i was planning on getting for it.
well i will build it and let you no how i get on.
