They are around 4-6gb though, better off 'renting' them to give them a 'try'

Can you still get on live?

wouldn't bother getting it done now, you're pretty much fucked if you go on live as they can detect the firmware flash straight away.
Saying that, there is a little "box o tricks" that allows you chip it without opening the box (look on xbox scene) and can switch it on and off. Still dodgy though, as if you are caught with it on live, it renders the 360 useless for multiplayer
edit - and for anything related to firmware hacking or 360 stuff, check out xbox-scene.com, has pretty much everything you need for xbox and xbox 360

i dont see the point tbh
my old ps2 was chipped and i had so many games i didnt know what to do with them. consequently i only played about 2% of them
and if microsoft start tucking people up for using flashed firmware then you can say bye bye to live.
id rather buy a select few games and know that im ok on live
but thats just my 2p

i wouldnt, all the games i own on xbox are very good, and worth all the money i spent on them, so the developers deserve the money, if itt was constant shit being churned out, i might consider it though
