im thinkin about puttin a 1.7 td izusu engine in my corsa as im strugglin 2 find a decent sri or gsi engine. what sort of power do they give and what are they like top end. can they be modified well im not bothered about it been super fast as im gettin a nissan 200 sx next year i just want something cheap to run that isnt slow as hell. any help would be great.

the works van is a 1.7D, with 60bhp and trust me its sloooooooow as fook

and that keeps 1.7TD Cav, so in a corsa it might b a lil' fasta, but still slow as shit, might get 110mph out of it, dwn a hill

u will find it pretty much every Cav, sum astra's.

Y dnt u just buy a 1.5TD corsa?

well the car is fully modified just about ready for paint but im just strugglin 2 find an engine, maybe put a 2.0 8v in, my mate was tryin 2 talk me into a td but if there really slow i cant be arsed

yes, they also do other cars too.....

the 1.7TD is a good engine, Kris TD who is on here had a 1.5TD running at 99bhp, that was without an intercooler so the 1.7TD can get around 120-130 for a couple of hundred £££

Also Kris's 99bhp cost him a whole £15 for a bleed valve, a guage (£60) would be recomended too but not essential.

Corsapower .. do it! My mate had one and it is amazing considering the mpg of that diesel. Cheap mod, put a large intercooler and turn up the boost.

And i believe isuzu did the 1.5d and 1.5td but im sure they never made the 1.7td...

They did the 1.7td under the name of vauxhall and if I am not mistaken also under isuzu.

on asta, vectra cavalier and if tuned is very powerfull

Isuzu made all the diesel engines that Vaux used up untill 97, not sure if GM owned isuzu or just had a deal to supply engines, the 1.5, 1.5TD are the same engine just one has a turbo and the 1.7d/td is the same just the block is bored out more

My 1.0 and 1.2 engines said Vauxhall on them, they were still made by Suzuki or somone like that.
