I dont care what you think you know,
These are details that were discussed by the SCEE UK boss at a private trade meeting. However they are still quite tight lipped
Release date is expeted Friday 17th November, to be lauched in Asia a week earlier.
There will be two SKU output simular to the XB360 core and premium.
One will contain a 20gb HDD, no WIFI no HDMI and will loose a few other ports too.
The second will contain a 60gbHD. Priced at around £425 (not confirmed)
However it is likly only one SKU will appear in Europe, the big package.
Around 150,000 Units will be available in the UK on day one.
With a total of around 2million units by march 07.
The unit is not expeted to be region free, however simular to the XB360 some games from other regions will work on UK machines.
Please dont not make wild statments in this post about what you have read on some website
I just thought people would be interested in some REAL info

no me either, the only use of the blueray on the cheepo machines will be the larger data storage.
And there is no way of making a cheepo one into a full spec one, like the 360

Sony have said you will be able to upgrade everything except the hdmi.

And you can still watch blu-ray over component in 720p.
And I bet at least 90% of the people who buy a ps3 won't have 1080p at launch and very little of them will know the difference.

Its not 500.
Its 399 and 499 euros in Europe, whatever that translates to in pounds, the higher one was about 410 quid when it was announced.
