A guy round the corner owns two XR2's, one stripped out with bonnet raisers, looks the nuts. Never really know what to say to people like that but always want to get a word in cos theres not many car enthusiasts round my way. Hes always giving me and my bros cars looks, especially my bros XR2i. Just wondering anyone else in a similiar situation, ever say anything?

i borrowed a catalytic converter from him. was shy at first though, but hes a top bloke.

got talkign to a customer at work yesterday about cars, seemed to be a bit of a enthusiasts, talkign about his Golf GTI, and how he might get rid of that and his catherham for an EOS, asked him what else he's got and iirc.................

I have lived down my street for 17 years now. The guy at the top of the street has an old Y reg Lotus Elite. They came with 2.0 16v 160bhp Renault engines. Hes constantly outside working on it, by working on it I mean revving it till stupid times at night. It usually runs on 3 cylinders and I think it ran on all 4 for a week once! He always drives it past my house then returns 15 minutes later like clock work, on 3 cylinders obviously!
The only thing I want to say to him about the car is, why is he still trying to flog a dead horse!

loads of people stop at my house and talk to me. usually outside busy with an engine conversion etc.... sometimes I end up with 4-5 corsas outside on a sunday, everyone seems to turn up with a problem want me to look at it for them.
problem is I end up doing work on their cars for them and end up being mates. then I feel like i cant charge them for the work anymore
just go round and have a chat, he might be thinking the same thing as you.

No nice cars round where i live really, but at the place i work the car park is full of lush cars, the guy in the next office has a brand new lotus elise, had a bit of a chat with him in passing but hes a bit shy really so not much you can do
My boss just bought a DB7 too
