Does anyone know if it's illegal to park your car half on the pavement, half off?

No yellow lines and because its a busy, narrow road i thought that i was doing good by not parking in everyones way.
Obvisously the dog walker who squared up to me yesterday didn't agree though. I've seen women with pushchairs make it past fine so wouldn't say i was causing an obstruction.
Who knows

Not quite sure what the law is, but i dont think you are supposed to park on pavement. Although dome roads are very narrow, and its just plain stupid parking off the pavement. My parents road is like this and i have come very close tp kicking some stupid bitches wing mirror off for causing such an obstruction every day (if i still lived down that road i would have had words by now)

Well its my gf's street and in the year and a half we've been going out this is the 1st time anyone has said anything. Her old man is a car dealer so there's always 4 or 5 cars at the house so i can't use the drive.
If we didn't park some of the cars half on the pavement i'm sure we'd have had alot more complaints by now!
I was just amazed by how seriously the bloke was taking it.

As long as its not causing an "unecessary obstruction" then it should be fine...
I have experienced this phenomenon first hand

it is actually illegal, as its an obstruction to the path, however if it is a really narrow road police will often let you off for this.
