ok, ive just got a new car. corsa c 1.4 sri. 55 plate. and i want to replace the factory fitted cd player for my mp3 cd player. sounds easy but its turned out to be a bitch of a job.
ive bought the harness adaptor and the dash replacement. which both fit fine. but to my surprise ive wired up the mp3 to the car and low and behold it wont work. when the head unit is not on, the cd player will flash (standby light i think) but when i put the head unit on, nothing happens
if there was no power the standby light wouldnt flash??
could anyone tell me what im doing wrong? is it a fault in the car?
thanks

Did you buy the CD Player new and the Wiring Harness new??
Corsa C's have been know to be a bitch in the electrics department, i've heard of a few problems with their electrics, but im not sure if this is whats wrong here.

I'd suggest trying the CD Player into another car and see .... to be honest i cant really see it being the harness :thumb:
And its strange that the standby light is flashing so that obviously means its getting power mate.
