Im looking for an ISP that offers up to 8mbps on non LLU exchanges (Hereford doesnt have it yet, but it does support up to 8mbps), but completely unlimited mainly for bittorrents. Ive seen some (I think zen) that have like a 50 gig a month cap off peak and 100% unlimited at night, which would be fine, but dont think they do the 8mbps yet. Starting to get annoyed with Ukonline, havent seen over 30kbps on bittorrents for a few months, usual speed is between 3 and 9 (PS the conection doesnt even get used that often cos im at uni and my sister doesnt download. )

Everywhere should do up to 8meg now with ADSLMax depending how near the exchange you are.
Very little unlimited now and most 'unlimited' have a fair use policy.

PS I need an ISP that doesnt throttle the P2P ports, thats the main thing i mean by unlimited.

I don't know any of them that throttle ports anymore.
They throttle specific traffic eg bittorrent.
Get a client that can encrypt it such as utorrent.

Zen's offerings aren't unlimited off-peak, the 20GB & 50GB limits apply to any downloads done at any time (uploads don't count towards your total). They also do not block any ports (apart from 135-139, which shouldn't be outside of your internal network anyway), or shape traffic to slow it down at certain times.

f2s are gay now.
I've been with them since my exchange was enabled in 2003 and i'm looking into changing this month.
Dl speeds won't go above 150k/s with a ~2400k line.
Shuold be at least 100k over that.
Traffic shaping is taking the biscuit now.
Went downhill quickly after pipex bought them.

They seem to be experiencing a lot of problems.
I did give them the benefit of the doubt and didn't jump ship like a lot of people did but if it continues I will have no choice.
I wouldn't mind if they gave me the speeds my line can handle.
I can get 250 no problem and was doin when I 1st got max.
Its came right down again though and its definitely being throttled because if I dl more than one thing the speed goes up.
Torrents are obviously also throttled but I haven't used any other p2p recently.
