Just arrived up in sunny yorkshire on part 2 of mine and chloes uk tour after spending the weekend in Southend for the airshow!!!

Anyone else go? It was awesome yesterday and perfect weather i even got sunburnt!!

Spent today up Southend airport watching the planes actually take off and land which was cool especially standing next to the Tornado as they fired it up

Also they flew the Typhoon for the first time in a display and god when that fires the after burners its awesome

My other faves are the Hercules, Chinook and B17

Cant post any pics as they are on my laptop

we made the mistake of going to southend satuday forgettign the airshow was on

XL426 (how sad am i) was part of the VDT before t was retired and xh558 took over it duties, is still a live airframe and does highspeed taxi runs

Was talking to a bloke they are rolling the one at bruntingthorpe out in August and hope to have it flying for the anniversary of the falklands next year they are going to fly it down the Mall in london

When i say the Typhoon was awesome im not exagerrating it blew the socks off everything else even the utterly butterly wing walkers
