Am tempted to flog my little run about. Is RHD (Irish import in 1999)
Frost blue 1.6 16v Gsi with C16xe engine.
car has done approx 100k now, showing 65k on the clocks due to them being changed for MPH clocks, i have the kph ones too.
Engine has done approx 60k as was changed a couple of years ago due to a overheating problem. engine doesnt use any oil at all between oil changes and runs really good.

Have fitted new ICV, tps, lambda, been serviced regular by myself. new clutch 3 months ago, new disks and pads just to be fitted, cam belt and all tensioners changed 6k ago, new plugs, leads, airfilter etc, new centre section.
car is completely standard bar the back lights and sony stereo and cd changer.

bodywork is very good, has a few little marks and a bit of touching up on bonnet.
interior is ok, very small hole in drivers bolster, has electric windows, mirrors, sunroof. all jacking point covers complete.

Am after around £1150, is taxed for 5 months and tested till October, flew through last test. Ideal project for someone wanting to drop in a bigger lump maybe, or just mod the engine thats in it maybe.

Hi mate
am based near sheffield bud.
I bought it last september, basically have spent prob 6-700 on it just maintaining it properly etc. Just wanted it to be reliable and it has been really. Probably didnt need half the things but I was gonna keep it a while, still might yet.
Only things that let it down are it has the little cracks starting when you open the doors and the bonnets gettin a bit of rust in places. rest of bodywork is really good though, polishes up really nice. Has had 2 new tyres on the front too.

Yeh Ireland. I got all the documents etc to prove everything, have the mileage thing too. Was done by Vine place a sports car specialist. It is RHD as said above and basically same as the top spec uk ones, it did have air con originally but been removed. I sometimes have problems with the idle going up and down but think I have found the problem on it now. reason why i changed eveything on the throttle body for new items. Basically if someone comes with £1100 or very near to that its theres. I run an evo as well and corsa has been the daily runabout, but is costing me too much to run corsa and the evo with the corsa bein full tax so am after a 1.4 or somethin.

cheers matey its a decent motor yeh. I may keep it yet. Was tempted to mantzel and get a set of cams and sort the fuelling out with some sort of chip. it feels pretty quick for a 1.6 to be fair.
Dave I could prob get it trailored to you reasonably cheap mate, but your a pretty long way! I use a local companu whos a friend of mine. used them for my evo when it broke and the mrs's punto. Prob gonna be gettin on for 150 i would have thought tho

thats just a guess mate, cost about 80 quid to get it from 100 miles away. so dunno how much to you. might be a bit more. depends on if he has any jobs up that way
