I have an iPod Mini 6Gb, and a Sony CD player head unit in the car.
How can I make the music from my iPod play through the head unit?
Is there an alternative to purchasing an "iPod capable" head unit?

I don't think you can Sammy. With a tape deck you can buy a cassette that goes in and amplifies the ipod.

i-trip
its an FM frequency modulator, you tune into it and then the ipod works like a radio station
they are technically illegal however, as you need a license to broadcast music on FM radio
google it

Yeah get an i-trip. Got one for my nano and it works a treat. You can get a lead to plug it into your cigarette lighter too, but get the itrip first as its not the normal ipod connector.

The Denison ice>LINK is good, plugs into the headunit where the CD Changer would normally. Can control it from the headunit as you would with a CD changer, and it keeps it charged too.
Bit more expensive, though.

I have an Itrip. Was pretty impressed with it at first but its just a pain when it starts crackling. So much easier just to put my songs on to cd for the car.

I have decided to just buy an iPod capable head unit when I get paid, I CBA with spending money on dodgy illegal equipment that probably won't work anyway!
