Doh....
Word of advice......
DO NOT BUILD A 2.1 Corsa for the track
Just buy a 205 GTi and save a shed load
It made it round another trackday.... was bloody feeling good this time..
Still need to sort the rear height, and general bits and bobs

Just think if all the money you've blown on the corsa had been spent on the pug instead

It was a 1.9 to start with so I would presume 1.9

Hence the idea of fitting a TU 16v which is very reliable.

there was me thinking the 205 was a similar wieght??
anyways, if you want to fit a TU to the pug you'll need the subframe from a lesser pug as they are different, lucky they are 10 a penny.
As for Mi's and reliablity,
no1 was a gating to 3rd not 5th at 110, can't say many engines would survive that one.
no2 was goign lean from injectors running out of duration, was a headgasket, hardly "blown up"
Biggest issues on Mi's is surge, use a s16 or GTi-6 engine and you're laughing.
P.S put a 1.6 box in they rock!!
