most peoples first mod.... but i waited and finally got round to it
a K&N air filter
£20 with all fittings so its fixed in place and pipe for cold air feed. bloke came met me literally 400m from my house at garage was a bargain
didnt think id notice it but i did notice a tad of qucikes and a sound that i love so im happy

i had one, had a flat spot at about 2500KPM
but once passed sounded good

I have never driven a 1.4 16v therefore i have no comment, rocker cover looks nice

its when you change the air induction, it sends in more air than what the air flow meter is calulated to, something like that. so the engine gets confused with how much air is actually going in and causes the car to kangaroo
