hi. ive recently changed my coil pack as my other one was buggerd. and put a brand new crank case sensor on me motor.
today and the weekend of pvs/modified nationals the engine dies for a few secs then comes back to life agen. when u pres the throttle you can hear the air trying to be sucked in but the car doesnt go any where (piper x induction kit)
any ideas.

Have you tried putting the old air box back on mate as a first??
how does it idle, all over the place and wants to stall when your sat at traffic lights for example?

its realy wierd. ull be driving down the road and ittle be fine. thne as i said the engine just looses all power u cant rev it or anything. then ittle all come back to life.

random, could be a bad engine earth, bad ecu earth
or faulty ignition switch

The 1.2 16v are prone to a few things going wrong!
Coil pack
Air Flow Meter
Idle Control valve/stepper motor thingy
When my AFM went, the ecu light didnt come on........it didnt rev properly, had a major flat spot and juddered like hell.

when i was going to mod nats. the same problem happend but my ecu light come on. and it hasnt come on since

air flow meter or idle stepper motor thingmy jiggy mate at a guess, could be lambda sensor but i doubt it........do you have a mate with the same engine as you, swop bits over, wont take you long.....
