Out of the two choices, I'd pick number one. For a start, Beckham is too far back in number two.

u dont see brazil or argentina with width, you play to your strength, attacking is attacking, whether its out wide or down the middle!!

I liked the look of Aaron Lennon though, he gave us some width on the right, where as beckham is a brilliant supplier of the ball, he cant run at defenders or down the wings well though.

He defineatly did what a winger should IMO, run down the line at defenders and give us some width to our game........but he hasn't got beckhams delivery potential............decisions decisions.

the first one is closer to what I would play, but I'd rather see 4 along the back and 4 in midfield (drop Beckham). And the front two depends on how Owen plays tomorrow IMO.

Who said play gerrard on the left ffs

I'd be tempted to play rooney right upfront with owen then interchange between lampard and gerrard slotting in behind him (ooh suits you )

I really don't rate Owen 1 bit. IMO he shouldn't even be in Germany, same as Jenas and Hargreaves.

Id rather play Rooney upfront on his own with support from Lampard and Gerrard bombing forward whilst Carrick holds the midfield ala Makelele
