Firstly... how far along is the low petrol light on the 1.2 8v clocks?? (mine hasnt been coming on when fuel is low... so ive just had the clocks out, replaced what bulbs i could and it still isnt on and fuel is fairly low. i am a bit worried that the fuel sender unit may be goosed though, as the needle is up and down like a yoyo... would this stop the bulb lighting?)
Second.... when the mechanics were looking what was causing a misfire on my car the other day... they changed the sparks plugs and ever since theres been something rattling lol...... just opened the bonnet and found this laying there lol :
what is it for?

youve got to be taking the piss... are vauxhall really that gay?
when the gauge is up and down like a yoyo you havent got a fuckin clue how many miles youve got left before braking down. and its not like i can afford to keep it half full all the time to be on the safe side

Ok then, some do some don't. It's not like you use the fuel gauge is it? Let alone the stupid light?
I can garuntee that both the sets of clocks I had in my 1.2 didn't have a fuel light, my 1.0 12v was the same.

Mine never had one, but my 1.6 sport does.
Like Ed says, if it had one, it would illuminate along with the EML etc on start up, when you first turn the key, until the reading gets above about 5 litres when it would go off.

My car does 300 miles to the tank. I use the odometer as the gauge lies.

My old 1.4 8v clocks without a rev counter didnt have a light either, but the new rev counter clocks i fitted (from a GSI i believe) do have one. I always thought non rev counter clocks didnt have one and rev counter clocks do have one, im sure that what it says in the cars manual anyway (but i could be mistaken).
