My car is currently in the garage, my problems have all been sourced to the lambda sensor which is apparently switching off over 2k revs. My cars problems include juddering, jolting around 2.5k revs when cruising, dodgy idle, cutting out on idle sometimes.
The garage have my car ready to do the work, they are charging £150 inc labour and vat. Just wondering is this a good price and whether it would solve the problems in your opinion?

if they are just changing the lamba sensor and nothing else, it does sound expensive. However, they normally charge £50 just for using the TECH 2. But still sound expensive, as it takes less than 30 mins to change the sensor.

I understand GTI sensors are £117 + vat from pug and the part comes in the job. I should also point out it went through a diagnostics test this morning which brought nothing up.

sorry mate, thought it was a vauxhall. If it is a pug 106, i think there is two sensors attached to the manifold. Main dealers are never cheap.
