XE'd corsa with m-tech short shift keeps popping out ov second. selects all gears fine check linkage and gearbox oil. no matter how hard or soft you accelerate it pops out its really annoying

they look ok not really had a poke around yet. im thinking ov the rear one as the o/s/f is new and i wouldn't have thought the n/s/f would make any odds to the gears??

it is the g/box mount which causes this my xe has a knackered rubber bush and its just enough movement to pop it out of 2nd and only second i also have the short shift kit

right jst been down the scrappy found a nice low mileage corsa a robbed the rear mount and gear linkage. all i gotta do now is swap the shortshift over and fit the mount

jst changed the mount and made no difference. so had a look around and found 2 bolts that hold the selector box on top ov the gearbox were loose lol. tightned them back up now. aint been out in it yet but hoping its fine now. been wondering where gear box oil had been leaking from lol

second gear syncro is prob shagged i had a box like it in mine so i replaced it for an f16

yes sounds like the dog teeth on second gear, not really a diy job!
My mtec shortshift i find very "soggy" going back into both 2nd and 4th not particularly impressed with it!
