OK, OK... so its cost twice the original cost, taking ridiculous amount sof time BUT fook me!! Jaw dropping... the arch, the partial roof that can ensure full coverage of fans and yet retract for the grass and it just oozes class Anyone who has seen it in London can testify!
http://www.wembleystadium.com/
I'd hope to see the 1st game there, would be amazing!!

I'd agree with that. Wembley always was something special in football though.

Hopefully we'll have a decent enough team to play in it
Well at least more fans get to go and see FA Cup Final and such like now as well.

Pitty all the tickets will probs be too expensive for the "real" fans to afford to buy
Should have been built further up north an all

Sorry to top another thread, but does anyone know when the first game is likely to be? Will it be an international match or a FA Cup final?
I was at the last game at the old Wembley and if possible would like to go to the first at the new one.

not confirmed yet but they are hoping for the fa cup final i think, although i expect a few exhibition matches to see how it all goes will be played before that.

I think it should have been more central, but like everything decent, it's all built darn sarf.
I saw it from the train last week. It is impressive.

Yep, they will need to obtain a safety certificate before allowing 90,000 fans in for the FA Cup Final. So they'll have something there before the Cup Final.

It'll lose its 'Wembley-ness' if it was built anywhere else. Although it would make sense for it to be in Birmingham or Nottingham. Imagine if Newcastle played Sunderland in the FA Cup Final 90,000 fans travelling to London from the North East.

after all the time its taken i feel a tad disapointed with the exterior aesthetics, inside looks amazing but the outside doesnt impress me enough to justify the 800m price, maybe when its finally finished ill change my mind.
