its like that all the way down, no name for it, its when i goto a folder with video files in it, dosen't happen to all video files just certian ones....

maybe be codecs...
what kind of file does it give this error?
any particular file extension? and in which player are you getting this error? WMP? RP?

shouldnt be codecs.
is that all you get? nothing before that?
try playing the video with another player if possible.

na it's before I even load the file in a media player, its as soon as I open the folder, problem with windows explorer, me thinks...

Could be to do with thumbnailing the movies, see if you can reset the folder views and get in there that way. Perhaps even move the movies out in DOS or something, see if it does it in the new location or even if the old one does it without files in.

yeah there is a corrupt file within the folder..
