After a string of jokers and strange part ex offers decided its not really worth me selling the impreza, so going to keep her and carry on modding, probably get a 12 volt runaround or something for work etc.

got some GT Spec Gen II headers and upipe ceramic coated going on today.

Just orderd KYB AGX shocks and eibach springs, will be getting solid droplinks, thicker ARB's and associated bushes with powerstation geometry setup, so hopefully bye bye understeer and will have a pretty mean handling car

330mm + 4 Pot front brakes soon, newage 2 pot rears with adapters to fit classic.

Im like a kid in a sweet shop

existing spec for those interested.

Yes nearly there, to be fair it doesnt have the braking and handling to match the power at the moment, although gets away with it on the handling front due to grip.

An impreza is always going to be behind an rx7, supra etc on the straights, so the handling/braking for point to point pace is whats needed i think!

previous owner did the engine/transmission mods, i would have done suspension/brakes first tbh.

LOL, thanks dude. you really do get treated like a cnut in it though by other road users regardless of how you drive.

Just ordered all the suspension stuf today, KYB AGX shocks, eibach springs, whiline alloy drop links, Anti-lift kit, whiteline front and rear adjustable roll bars. Toyo T1-R`s going on friday.

handling should be

Think will have a view to long term ownership with all this money im now throwing at it.

I think in a few years times, good well kept classics will be hard to find.

Im in the same boat as you seth. The more people brake callys the less of them there are especially low milers without hideous bodykits and 4x4 that works

Well thats what i keep telling myself anyway

Imprezza's rock!

Was going to get rid of mine after it had to be recovered twice in the first 4 months of ownership! The box is currently dead so its off to scoobyclinic for a recon, carnt wait to get in back on the road and get some new mods purchased.

debatable if you see what is on pistonheads tbh.

It was priced in the middle of standard 96/97 WRX`s and 98/99 STi, when you consider the spec it was about right. She was up for £7495 (before i threw 1.5k at it) when i bought her and the guy before had a shit load of interest. Anyway you need to see it in the metal to judge to be honest, it really is stunning for the year, only came into the country in 2004, id take the pepsi max challenge with any other early classic any day of the week. Only 60k miles, NEW engine, NEW diffs, NEW gearbox etc etc. Anyway its all irrelevant now

And yes running 2 pots, the cusco brake cylinder stopper helps and scooby clinic discs and ferrodo pads help to, its slightly underbraked for the power but not too much.
